Are Storage Beds The Best Option?
Posted by Steve on 11/08/2009 under Beds.
Divan beds have always been popular. However, people fail to understand that these beds are not a dumping place. Usually, people tend to store anything and everything inside their beds. I have seen items like, electric equipment, empty boxes, old books, unwanted kitchen appliances, crockery, etc dumped in beds. The list is endless, in fact some people store so much crap that they do not even realize that what lies beneath them will affect their asleep. Naturally, they do not get sound sleep and complain of insomnia. It is like sleeping on junk, albeit it is covered and you cannot see the crap underneath.
According to the ancient Chinese belief called “Feng Shui”, pronounced as ‘foong shway’ the energy of the house and bedroom plays very important role in our lives. Did you ever wonder why ancient civilization flourished on riverbanks? Well, the flow of energy in the region is the best and thus brings in peace and harmony. Feng Shui can be applied in our living rooms and bedrooms as well.
Feng Shui Applications For Beds
Feng Shui is completely against the misuse of divan beds. They call it misuse because when you store something that does not belong to the bedroom, it is termed as misusing the bed. Bedroom and specially the bed is very important element for promoting sleep. In fact, it is known to bring harmony among couples and improves their relationship. If you do not trust us then test this science. Place your bed in the southeast corner of your house and see how you will have sleepless nights. In case you already have a storage bed or know someone who has one, then ask them to remove all the clutter from inside and see the difference. A bed is meant for storing only bed-related items like mattresses, bed sheets, pillow covers, quilts, extra pillows, cushions and so on. Do not store rubbish inside the hollow of your bed
Tranquility Beds offers a Feng Shui styled bed as a great price as well. Just check out the Apollo Divan.
