Bedroom Storage - Beat The Clutter

It is estimated that we spend a third of our lives in our bedroom so, ideally we would like our bedroom to reflect our personal style and taste. It is difficult to detect any style or taste in a room full of clutter. In such a situation, getting rid of the clutter by implementing some simple storage ideas is a top priority.
Keep Your Bedroom Tidy
Whatever the size of your bedroom, there are many ways to keep it neat and tidy – and give yourself more space. Just implement a few basic storage ideas.
- If you are buying a wardrobe, go for the tallest you can afford so that long items such as coats and dresses can hang neatly without getting crumpled. Try and get a wardrobe with shelving to store smaller items and one which incorporates some interior lighting to shed light on the contents.
- If you can find things easily, you are less likely to create a mess frantically searching for some item or other. If your bedroom is too small for a wardrobe, a bed with drawers could be the solution to your storage problems. Some headboards also have shelves and small cupboards incorporated into them. When choosing bedroom furniture such as bedside cabinets, make sure they has shelves attached.
- If you really want to keep your old bed, make use of the space underneath it. Buy some boxes with castors on and use them to store infrequently used items under the bed.
- Buy a divan bed with good storage which will help you get rid of clutter.
As always, think about your budget but don’t compromise on quality. Some good quality bed linen will give your room that touch of elegance and style. It will also last longer.
