Beds For Small Spaces

If your flat is cramped for space, you may need some creative bedding solutions. If you want to create a relaxing and chic bedroom but need space for storage at the same time, here are a few options for you:
- Loft Beds: A loft can nearly double your floor space, or give you a place to put your clothing. Loft your mattress just a couple of feet, and you can store clothing underneath, or put it just a few feet from the ceiling and use the space beneath for a desk or reading chair.
- Divan Beds: Divan beds can be good for small spaces because they are sleek and visually streamlined. If you have enough closet space to store your clothing, consider placing a queen-sized platform bed in a room with very few other furnishings - maybe a floor lamp and a small nightstand. This will create a modern look while making your room seem larger.
- Hanging Beds: If you want a different kind of loft bed, try a hanging bed. Like a loft bed, a hanging bed can save just enough space for some storage or create floor space to be used for a desk or comfortable chair. But before you install a hanging bed, make sure you know the regulations for drilling holes into your ceiling!
- Wooden Beds: Wooden beds can add a real sense of rustci charm to a room. The normal material for wooden beds is pine but they can be found in a variety of different wods.
- Metal Beds: Metal beds can add a very modern, contemporary look to a room. Metal beds can often be softened using a wood and leather. Metal beds are often more affordable than the leather beds.
Whatever your space limits, there's a bedding solution for you. Just be creative, and don't be afraid to try out something a little different. You might be surprised at what works for your small space.
